It supported my weight, on the beach, it was comfortable for me to sit in (I am a woman, my hips are proportionately large to my weight - women, you know what I mean about hips) and was just a joy to have and not expensive for what I feel I received. I just received this product and used it for a week at the beach. I am not sure of its durability yet, but I have high hopes. It also comes with a bag that has a strap and is easy to carry. He is 270 lbs and 6'7", which is 80 lbs under the limit of this chair. After receiving the package he opened it and set up the chair. After sitting in it for a few minutes he went to get out of the chair and one the the "steel" armrest poles snapped in half. This is very disappointing for a chair thats supposed to be heavy duty. If I wanted to get him a chair that was going to break on the first use I would've gotten a much cheaper one that only supports 225lbs.
