I specifically purchased this item because it could be washed. The flannel inside peeled so terribly after washing that I cannot use it on my boat unless I want little green balls all over the place. I literally threw both sleeping bags I purchased in the trash after I washed them.

After I washed this sleeping bag, the flannel pilled up considerably. It's not as soft as it looks in the picture. The cotton cover seems to be a rather cheap and thin muslin fabric. Also, after washing the bag is 29 inches wide, not 33. This sleeping bag was cheap and I should have known the material would be second rate. I still have to find out if it's comfortable down to 30�, as advertised, but I doubt it.

The product description states that this bag is comfortable from 40 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit but I took it camping and it got down to low 30s and this did not keep me nearly as warm as I would have thought it should, even with a tent heater in the tent. Otherwise it is very comfortable. I've heard bad things about washing this bag, but I haven't yet washed mine to know for sure. But seeing as this is the cheapest flannel bag I could find with that temperature range, I am not really expecting stellar performance.
