I'm keeping it under the deck of a small boat with limited space, and this cooler fits perfectly. I also like that it's a part of the Coleman Stacker line of products. While I'm not using it to stack anything, it's good to have the flat top surface with a lip to keep things from sliding off (especially on a boat). The volume is surprisingly decent. I was able to load it up pretty well without wasting much space.It is, however, quite thin. For short trips or just to keep things relatively cool, this isn't a problem. However, if you want your things to stay ice-cold for several hours, this cooler does fall a little short. I put in some ice packs they were pretty much melted after about 4 hours. The lid also isn't hinged. It just kind of snaps in place, but doesn't lock in very tighly. Despite all this, it still is pretty sturdy and made from decent quality plastic. As... Just the size I was looking for!Low sides, but is still wide and long enough for packaged meats, frozens, maybe even boxed pizza. I would say you can fit a case of soda cans inside with a little ice on top. Color: Gray is more like clay/ brown. Cons:Damaged in shipping due to poor packing. Sorry Amazon. I would have gone with a 5-stars if it were packed better. FYI: Lid does not lock. Lid has no hinges. Not a problem for me, but may be for some uses. Overall, I am happy with it for my needs. Low sides allow you to use this as a table top serving station to keep your food on ice while on those hot summer days. Its just the right size to hold a case of canned drinks on a single level, so no need to dig down to the bottom to get the variety you were looking for. Its wider than most coolers so you can hold a 9x13 casserole or that large bowl of potato salad that never wants to sit upright in any other cooler. Cons: People keep borrowing it because its such a nice size! |
