It's a fine small backpack for adults, but not for small kids. It's smaller than a school backpack and is great for hiking and biking for my kids (6, 8 and 10 years old). They all love it and find it comfortable. The straps are nicely padded. The zipper pulls make it really easy to open and close. It's just a great multi-purpose bag. We'll be using it to go on road trip as well.
