We used them for the first time this week and they were great. We stayed warm and comfortable even though the temperature did get into the low 30s. I have been staying with a friend for the past year and felt that since I sleep on the the couch or floor a sleeping bag would be more convenient than folding up a pile of blankets. I am also an experienced camper and have had much experience with several different types of bags. Also note that I received this bag without a "storage sack" (actual term currently eludes me.)The "pillow flap" looked innovative at first but after daily use I quickly realized it is completely unnecessary and is left to the "elements" making it, the area I lay my head and face on, easily susceptible to becoming dirtied rather than just the outer shell. I prefer to have that area completely encircling so I can cover my head entirely. It also makes rolling the bag up a little awkward. The inner sheet piqued my interest in the beginning but it became more of an unnecessary obstacle that lacks any real practicality... With that being said, it was still expensive for the quality of the bag. Some of the stitching was already coming off and I had just opened it. On top of that, the string that ties the bag together is a joke. I want something that is going to hold my rolled up bag together better than a thin piece of tie string.I was also disappointed to find that the sleeping bag did not come with a stuff sack. The thin material this bag is made of needs more protection or the bag would have ripped (just like my last Coleman sleeping bag which was made of the same material). I went to Dicks Sporting Goods to buy a stuff sack for the sleeping bag, but instead I found a new sleeping bag to purchase.
