We set them up and tested them before we left, and were happy with what we saw.A few days into the trip, we found out we cannot sit on the end of a cot, because the weight of my wife's legs (she is less than 200 lbs) snapped one of the plastic inserts that hold the end bars in place. That was all right; there was enough of a stub to hold it there with tension, and she switched hers for my son's cot (he is in second grade). A couple days later, I had a funny feeling in the night, and woke up to find the fabric where the stitching is on my cot had ripped apart at least a foot in length. I turned my cot around so the good half was under my upper body, hoping to salvage it for the rest of the trip. A couple nights after that, it ripped all the way up that side and the rest of the trip I slept on the ground. I weigh 245 lbs, and I doubt my 4-lb sleeping bag put it over the 300-lb... There is also a seam that has pulled out so the edging is coming off.
