The reviewers who said this is more comfortable than the expensive mattresses weren't kidding. This feels like a $1,000 mattress! I bought a memory foam pad to lie on before I got this because I didn't think it would be comfortable enough. It turns out I don't even need the pad! This is the most comfortable thing I've slept on, all by itself.One thing I like about this is that one side of it has a thick, velvety covering. I'm not sure if that was done for comfort, or to protect the mattress from damage, but whatever it was, it works. I have four cats who I let get on my bed regularly, and all I use to protect the mattress is that velvety cover and a Mainstays Microfiber comforter that I got from Walmart for about $35. The cats haven't punctured the bed once, and they've been on it plenty of times. One thing I really like about Coleman is that they include material you can use to fix the mattress... I tested the first one and it was fine. It held air over night. I needed 3 for each of my grandchildren (each under 50 pounds). When they all came to visit last week we found the 2 newer air mattresses would not hold its air over night.
