One of the key things I looked for was mesh in both the top and bottom, since our old ones made you pretty sweaty in summer, and that is when you mostly use these. (Did I mention the old ones were sweaty?) So these fit the bill. Some details on the Coleman XL Broadband Quad w/ Mesh: Pros: - Mesh is nice and cool compared to solid fabric panels - Solid construction - Lightweight (Amazon site says about 6 - 7 lbs; seems right without actually weighing, and that is much lighter than a lot of the competition, which weighs in as much as 13 lbs) Cons: - XL is a bit misleading - they just fit me (6' 2" and 220 lbs,... Read more 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful  Much too small to be labeled "XL", Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Coleman XL Broadband Quad Chair with Mesh (Sports) While this is a decent chair, it is called an "XL" which leads me to believe it is larger than average. It isn't. I was specifically looking for an oversized mesh chair and this certainly did not fit the bill. I wasted my money purchasing this one only to turn around and order the Kelty Deluxe Lounge chair (which, by the way, IS oversized and I highly recommend even though it is not mesh). The Coleman chair is made of medium quality materials, not flimsy and cheap, but not exactly high quality either. The mesh seems sturdy enough for an average man to sit on, but I'm afraid I won't ever know because this chair isn't going to get much use. The support rails hit me in the thighs and force my legs too close together when seated, forcing me into a slightly uncomfortable position. If you like a big seating area in your outdoor chair, look elsewhere. Highly recomend, but if you want a wider chair for the big guys out there get the XXXL version this XL is a lil narrow but just enough to sit my 190lb body in comfortably. |
