According to your description, the product is supposed to be 12 x 8 x 3 inches. I'm not sure what the 12" measurement is regarding, but the unit, by normal measure, achieves a modest 6" in height, 9.5 in girth or circumference and a mere 3" in width. I believe your measurements are better suited to the plastic packaging the unit is delivered in. This lamp is miniature and is a far cry from what I thought it was based on your poor description.
